Professor Rob Layfield is an experienced motor neuron disease (MND) researcher and has been studying mechanisms involved in neurodegeneration for over 30 years. Rob and his lab have received funding from multiple agencies and charities to further their research into MND, looking at changes in proteins and the effect which this has on other cell processes, helping to move our understanding of MND forward.
