Fife Friends Take on 1,700-mile ‘Rat Run’ Challenge in support of MND Scotland

Four friends from Cupar, Fife, are preparing to take on an incredible motoring chal-lenge to raise vital funds and awareness for leading Scottish motor neuron disease charity, MND Scotland.

“At the end of the challenge, if I’m tired or hurting, that’s temporary. What people with MND go through isn’t. That’s why I’m doing it.”

Kevin Morrison, 39, from Elgin, is set to take on an incredible feat at this year’s Edinburgh Marathon Festival (EMF).

New PhD Studentship: Exploring Gut Tissue Biomarkers for Earlier ALS Diagnosis

MND Scotland has partnered with LifeArc, to fund a new PhD Studentship. Dr Marta Vallejo at Heriot-Watt University will receive almost £100,000 to explore whether changes in gut tissue can provide early warning signs of motor neuron disease (MND).
