MND Scotland's new logo on Hearts home jersey

MND Scotland has revealed a brand-new logo, with the first public appearance proudly adorned on Heart of Midlothian FC home jerseys.

The reveal of the new logo – the helping hand of support – comes as we mark the end of our 40th anniversary year and take a bold step towards driving the future growth of the charity.

To launch the new logo, we partnered with Heart of Midlothian FC, who announced last year that an innovative two-year sponsorship deal with Dell Technologies would see the charity become its front of shirt partner for the coming season.

With legendary Scottish Cup-winning captain, Marius Zaliukas, sadly losing his life to MND in 2020, the Club and its supporters have been avid champions of the cause. so far raising an incredible £85,000.

Now the Club will continue to build upon the vital awareness already raised through the partnership, by launching our new logo to the Scottish public, bringing it to the national stage on the front of the new season’s kit.

The ‘helping hand of support’ aims to better represent the day-to-day work we do to lighten the load, and ease the burden, for people living with MND in Scotland, so they can spend their time creating precious memories with loved ones.

Rachel Maitland, MND Scotland’s CEO, said: “Today we are proud to introduce a new logo for MND Scotland, and to have Hearts reveal it to the public is an incredible opportunity to bolster awareness of our cause and why we exist.

“Since our charity was founded in 1981, we have been on the front line against MND. We fund ground-breaking MND research and world-class clinical trials. We campaign to fix a broken system and to secure lasting change.

“But much of our work is in making time count for people with MND and the loved ones supporting them. Whether that’s helping families make memories through accessible holidays, grants to improve quality of life, or an Advocate to fight their corner and secure essential home adaptations faster, we are here to help.

“Our refreshed visual identity encapsulates why we are here. When time matters most, we’re a helping hand of support, so people affected by MND can make time count with the ones they love.

“Working with the team at Hearts and seeing the Club’s supporters embrace our cause the way they have, has been truly remarkable. I hope you will all join us for this exciting new chapter to change lives and create lasting change. Together, we will make time count.”

Andew McKinlay, Heart of Midlothian’s Chief Executive Officer, said:

“We are delighted to have been chosen by MND Scotland as the first place to unveil their magnificent new logo to the public. Since our home shirt partnership with Dell Technologies commenced in 2021, we have witnessed first-hand the positive impact that the charity’s services and dedicated staff can have on those living with MND.

“This partnership has really caught the imagination of our supporters, who have raised incredible sums of money on behalf of MND Scotland over the past year. We are sure they will be proud to wear the new MND Scotland logo on the front of their home shirts in the season ahead and will continue to play their part in raising funds and awareness for a great cause.

“Once again, we are immensely grateful to Stephen Bosarge and the team at Dell Technologies for their vision in making this partnership happen and for the way in which they have galvanised local staff to support fundraising initiatives such as the successful MND day at Tynecastle in December. This is partnership working at its best.”

This is just beginning of positive change for MND Scotland as over the coming months we will reveal more of our vibrant new look and feel with the launch of a new website, merchandise, and a wider awareness raising campaign, as well as an ambitious three-year strategy.
