Gavin Crowe is gearing up to embark on a marathon bike ride to raise awareness and funds for two different charities.
Gavin works as a partner at Aberdein Considine, whose official charity is MND Scotland.
He will also be raising funds for Cavernoma Alliance UK – a charity connected to the condition which affects Gavin’s daughter Ailsa who experienced a bleed on the brain a number of years ago. Ailsa was forced to give up work and live back at home, supported by Gavin and his wife.
Gavin’s ultra-cycle will include visiting all of his firm’s offices across Scotland and England, with Gavin undertaking this task both as a personal challenge for his 60th birthday but also to raise funds for the charities.
The ride will begin at the firm’s Newcastle office on 4th June, taking in the Edinburgh offices, on to Glasgow, then Stirling and Perth. Gavin will then travel north, visiting offices in Stonehaven, Banchory, Westhill, Inverurie, Ellon, Peterhead, Dyce and finally Aberdeen, finishing on 8th June.
Gavin will be supported with an Aberdein Considine vehicle, with volunteers taking turns to drive during each leg
In total Gavin will cycle around 420 miles. With around 480 staff in the firm, staff will also support Gavin by cycling a leg in their local area.
