Holyrood Fun Run Record Success

This year was our biggest and best yet with double the amount of participants taking on the 5k run and walk! Over 650 people flooded Holyrood Park in support of MND Scotland and a sea of t-shirts could be seen as the crowd gathered at the starting line at 11am.

Doddie Weir, rugby legend, who was recently diagnosed with MND, came along to support the day with hordes of friends and family. There were a few notable faces in the crowd including Gavin Hastings and Scott Hastings (pictured).

So far, together, we have raised an incredible £18,000 with more sponsorship still coming in! If you have a JustGiving page make sure to update it with some photos from the event to let people know you have completed your run or walk!

A special thanks also goes to our amazing volunteers, without you the day wouldn’t have been the success it was.

We’ll get all the photos up on Facebook as soon as possible, so keep an eye out, but in the meantime why not relive the day by watching our short video here:

Now, who’s ready for next year?!
