Doctors call on MND patients to help with medical training

The University of Edinburgh is calling on people with MND to help train young doctors in diagnosing neurological conditions.

The University of Edinburgh is calling on volunteers with Motor Neurone Disease, to come forward to help young doctors learn how to examine people with MND.

This session will help trainee doctors learn more about what the challenges and symptoms of MND are, and will aid future professionals in their medical training.

About the Edinburgh Patient Supporting Assessment and Teaching service

Established in 2006, the Edinburgh Patient Partnership Supporting Assessment and Teaching (EPPSAT) service accommodates in the region of 350 patient volunteers. It is supported by the University of Edinburgh, the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh and the Royal College of Physicians of Edinburgh. They are desperately seeking patients with neurological conditions, so any MND patient would be warmly welcomed to the exams and travel and food will be arranged.
