12 days of Festive Fundraising

Join us for our 12 days of Festive Fundraising and enjoy some fun and festive activities that you can use to help us raise awareness of Motor Neuron Disease and vital funds. This will enable us to continue supporting those living with the disease and fund research to find a cure.

By taking part in one or all of our Festive Fundraisers, you’ll be helping us continue to fund pioneering research to find a cure and to support people with MND in Scotland, so they can spend this Christmas making precious memories with the ones they love and taking us closer to our vision of a world without motor neuron disease.

Day 1 – Walk, Jog or Roll a mile a day for the 24 days leading up to Christmas Day.

Day 2 – Buy your Christmas cards or E-Card from our online shop.

Day 3 – Donate to MND Scotland while you do your online shopping at no extra cost to you.

Choose MND Scotland as your charity and use the links on these pages to shop in your favourite shops.  We receive the donations directly from the businesses listed.

Day 4 – Hold a festive bake sale or Bake Off competition in your community or workplace. Donate the proceeds to MND Scotland.

Day 5 – Struggling to find the perfect gift as part of your Secret Santa.  Choose to donate to MND Scotland instead.

Day 6 – Host a Quiz…mas at home, with friends or in your workplace. Download your festive Quiz…mas answer sheets and quiz master pack. Source a prize for the winning team, ask for a small contribution to take part and donate the proceeds to MND Scotland.

Day 7 – Host a ‘Deck your Desk’ competition at work or in school. Who can come up with the most creative, brightest or ugliest desk decorations?  Ask for a small entry fee to be donated to MND Scotland.

Day 8 – Hold a Christmas Jumper day – ask for a donation to take part.  Add an element of competition and see who has the ugliest jumper, sparkliest jumper or most un-festive jumper. Pay in your donation here.

Day 9 – Download our Festive Sweepstake game and raise a few pounds from your friends, family or colleagues.

Day 10 – Hold a Movie Marathon.  Invite your friends round, you provide the snacks, they donate what they would have paid at the movies. Use this list for some Movie inspiration.

Day 11 – Think about donating your last hours salary of the year to MND Scotland.

Day 12- Choose a challenge for 2024 – when the preparations for Christmas are over and we look towards a New Year and setting resolutions, why not set a challenge for 2024.  Take a look at some of the ideas we have on offer here. Whether you are giving up something for the month of January, taking part in an event or organising your own activity, let us know by making a pledge with our team at fundraising@mndscotland.org.uk or sign up directly online here and we will be in touch in the New Year to help you get started with your fundraising.

Additional download and top tips:

· Shout out about your fundraiser by downloading our template poster here

· When sourcing prizes, think outside the box. Why not ask for a donation of someone’s talents eg. Baking a Christmas cake, wrapping presents or babysitting to help someone prepare for Santa coming. Or if you are fundraising in your workplace, offer an extra lie in or early finish as a prize.

· Rather than collecting cash for your fundraiser – set up a fundraising page here and ask those taking part to donate online.
